Paulo César de Melo — Founder and Scientific Director

 

With over 30 years dedicated to plant nutrition and soil science, Paulo César de Melo is the researcher responsible for developing the seaweed-based biostimulants that form the basis of the entire Ceres Master Algas line.

 

Training and research:

• PhD in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition from UFLA

• Postdoctoral degree in Marine and Environmental Sciences from the University of Coimbra (Portugal)

• Over 30 scientific publications and patents on marine bioclastic granules and algae-based fertilizers.

 

 

His pioneering research with Lithothamnium and other algae species has paved the way for a new generation of bio-inputs: solutions that improve soil health, strengthen plants, and increase productivity sustainably — with proven results in the field.
